Joe, nice PR.  Jen Good luck on Sunday!!!  Marmadaddy, nice weekend.  Good job captain.

As for me, I rode 35 this morning.  I'm now within 5 miles of my bike goal!!!  However, I'm only half way to my run goal.  I'll try to get a run in tomorrow and I should be in good shape to hit my targets.

Go Wombats!!!

P.S.

I was talkin' smack in the Pickle thread the other day just to keep the interest up.

I was wondering who was instigating all these wombat hatin' messages.

Thanks for all the words of encouragement!  I made it through my first tri and itching to do my next.

Almost reached my goals for September, will probably exceed my run goals since I'm going to up my road mileage.  Nice job mmckinley on your 35 miler.   Joe thats great that you got a new PR!  14 miles, JPCan thats great!   Mike, nice quick run on Sunday!

Keep it up everyone!!!!

A burrowing mammal which forms dens, and defends them with its extended digging claws. While cuddly and cute on the outside, these creatures are manifest hell. A single wombat may dine on as many as eight babies in the course of a three day period. Wombats, curiously enough, produce a highly concentrated urine rich in mineral content. Comparable in temperment to an angry badger which has just received news of its mother's death, but without the whimsy.

Wombats seem like charming creatures, what with eating babies and all... glad I am a WEEVIL

Wow! We're doing awesome! If I wasn't such a slacker, we would be taking names and kicking !

I have a 4 mile run tomorrow, and a 12 mile ride friday morning. Saturday I plan on running 6.25 miles and riding 50 miles. Followed by a 5 mile run on sunday. That should get me close enough to finish my goals. How's everyone else's training looking?

OK Wombats, we have 5 training days left (including today) and we are at the top of the heap (assuming the miles v. KM issue is worked out).  They will be coming after us so let's close the deal.  I'm not sure I will be able to do anything Friday or Saturday, but I only have 7 run miles and 5 biking miles left.

We are right there, let's win this thing.  Great job Wombats!!!!!!!

Well, our team captain is a complete slacker, but you guys and girls did amazing this month. Here is a PM I sent to Shawn to lay out my goals for the month. I guess I was off by a few miles on the bike.

Thanks Shawn for setting up the challenge. I put in 98 miles running and 120 on the bike. The bike is tricky for me, either I'll be 50 miles over my goal or ride a total of 50 miles for the month. Now I'm looking for to September training.

mea culpas due here also. I was on track going into the last week at which point I had to put in a couple unscheduled work allnighters and was laid low by a um..condition. you really don't want details, but they're in my training log if you must.

Sorry team.
