Subject: Introducing another newbie!
Hi all,

My name is Robert Diebels. As per suggestion I'll introduce myself here.

I'm 27 and I have had a goal to run a full triathlon at least once in my life.
I've ran before (did a 12km) and I love it, it just gives me a sense of freedom in a way.
However I was unable to continue running as I had to balance my work and University.

Yesterday I finished my last course at Uni (all that remains is my Thesis) so I'll be able to commit fully (I don't like half-assing stuff) to working out again.

I'm hoping to find people here who can guide me by helping me get the right material I need to prevent injury.
Or even provide me with learning material to improve my technique (which is non-existent atm haha) continuously.

I'm not assuming this will be easy and I hope I can contribute to others experiences as well as adding to my own.

I've set a goal to be able to run an Olympic Triathlon by the end of the year which I think is doable.

Hope to hear from you!

Greetings, Robert.

While running, I've been really struggling to keep my heart rate down in the zone 2-3 range as frequently prescribed in the plan. This seems too slow?

I had read the articles on BT, I'd trained, and I thought I had prepared. There were, however, a few things that I didn't internalize despite what I'd been told.
