Pre-race routine:

Just filling this in as it was a blank spot in my race listing. My one and only marathon. Goal was to beat my IM mary time, didn't come close! Record high temps in the 90s, working 80 hours the week before, and a screaming calf from the uphills made this a sufferfest. over 4K of climbing. Hardest thing I've ever done.....

Hey at least you finished. I bet the view was awesome. Do any scuba diving while you were there?

No, didn't get any in as we were there with another couple (and I was trashed from the race ) , but there is no more kelp at Casino Point at the moment, we dove a few months ago and it's all invasive sargassum.   Like diving a wheat field....

I signed up for Ironman Frankfurt, next year July - and I am very excited about it. I originally planned to run my first Marathon in the middle of September, but am not sure if this is wise.

My training was taking off. I had never felt stronger. I was making bigger strides than I ever had. I was stronger and faster than I had imagined myself ever being.
