As I make the schedules closer to that day I'll try and get that night off. If not, then hopefully the next one!

Dude, you should just take off early from your school one evening isn't going to kill ya is it? (probably why I chose not to go to school. I hated it)

Come on its 18 days away, say you have dinner plans.

I *prefer* Thursday as I'm already d/t and finish class at 7:30, but could do Wednesday as well as I finish class much earlier, but just have to hang out until whatever happens happens.

I prefer Wednesday as I have swimming on Thursday and the end of the month means pizza night. If anyone is hanging around downtown on Wednesday, I'll be around, so we could meet up earlier.

So, what the heck are we doing??

Lets go to McD's....

Ok, wednesday, where do we meet?

Jen, where do I meet you? I may come in early. Avoid the major rush hour traffic.

Parking is an issue everywhere downtown. Ride your bike. Just kidding.

I'll scope out some places this weekend. Is there anything that people are allegic too or just don't want to eat?

Hmmmm, 6 am sound good???

Depends on where I have to go and what I have to do. I need to find the area and look around you know! But I am sure I can get there in plenty of time.

Okay here's a list of places that we could meet along with a description of each:

Name: Kam's Place
Type: Singaporian Cusine - Kind of like Thai Food
Location: Downtown Davie Street
Parking: Street Parking Meters
Features: Very good prices and good food. 2 for 1 coupons in the Georgia Straight.

Name: Thai House
Type: Thai Food
Location: Downtown Robson Street
Parking: Street Parking Meters and some lots nearby
Features: ???

Name: Tanpopo Sushi
Type: All you can eat Japanese
Location: Downtown Denman Street
Parking: Street Parking Meters
Features: Good fresh all you can eat with wild salmon sashimi and sushi on the menu

Name: Shabusen Sushi
Type: All you can eat Japanese
Location: Downtown Burrard Street

Features: Good place for a group. We can all sit in a large boat booth. Has Korean BBQ as well.

Name: Chill Winston's
Type: Lounge
Location: Gastown
Parking: Street Parking Meters and there are probably some lots nearby
Features: Good food. Nice atmosphere. Lots of drinks on tap.

Name: DIX or Yaletown Brew Pubs
Type: Pubs
Location: Near BC Place or in Yaletown
Parking: Limited Street Parking Meters, lots of lots nearby.
Features: Cheap beer. Decent food. Trendy atmosphere.

Name: Las Margaritas
Type: Mexican

Features: Good Mexican

Name: Afghan Horseman
Type: Afghan

Name: Bin 941/942
Type: Tapas
Location: 941 on Davie Downtown, 942 on Broadway
Parking: Street Parking Meters
Features: Tapas if our appetites aren't that big. Popular place.

Name: Rugby Beach Club
Type: Similar to Earl's, Catcus club, etc.
Location: Broadway
Parking: Street Parking
Features: Good food a la carte and lots of drinks on tops. Really good prices especially on alcohol.

Name: Characters
Type: Greek
Location: Downtown on Davie
Parking: Street Parking Meters
Features: Good prices. 2 for 1 coupons in the Georgia straight.

Name: Earl's, Catcus Club, Milestones
Type: You know.
Location: Various locations downtown or on broadway
Parking: Street Parking Meters
Features: Standard fare. A bit pricey for what you get, I think.

For myself, I'd prefer to go somewhere where there are some good drinks on tap, so that would be chill winston's, Rugby Beach Club or DIX or the Yaletown Brew pubs. But the food is better at some of the other places, so I'd be up for going for dinner and then heading to a pub afterwards. There's other pubs around besides these as well if we want to hit something afterwards.

So let me know again if you are coming for sure and what would be your top 3 choices in order. Pick one by 5pm today and I'll call and make reservations tonight.

Jen
