Up at 3:45 AM.. Small bowl of cereal, One RCS, One Mito, One Enduro with breakfast. Left house at 4:30AM for 7:20 race start. While on the bike, two Enduro's and one gel at mile 3. Sipped water bottle with one scoop of SE during ride. Pump fell off bike early on in the ride when I hit some speed bumps on the road. I went back and got the pump. Some 3 or 4 miles of rough road surface during ride along with some Westerly head winds. One more Enduro late in the ride. Potty stop early in the second and final run segment. Cooler temps and lower humidity prevailed during this race today.

My first duathlon was a success. I had so many fears before the race but none of those fears happened. And when it was all over, I felt I had accomplished something big.
