Elite  4583   |  Subject: 10.21.16 Fabulous Friday!Good morning BT! 5:30am: Off day for me...did some stretching and core just to wake up a bit. So my JV runners took 2nd yesterday! The winning team's top three guys came in 3,4,5 and my top three guys came in 6, 7, 8! However, my whole team medaled in the top 20 so I'm so happy about that. A quick story about the caliber of runners I have. My #7 runner, Jacob, is a junior and not a natural runner. He has worked so hard for three years to get his times down to 21:00-22:00. This year I have one freshman who, in the last two of three meets, actually beat Jacob and did so again last night. After the race yesterday Jacob walked up to my freshman, shook his hand, and said 'congratulations, you deserve to run at Divisionals as the 7th man next week.' What a great kid! Tonight is my daughter's first of three senior nights for each sport she plays--tonight is volleyball. I just can't believe we are already here! Today I did my first indoor training ride with Trainer Road. I once said that outdoor 'real' riding was superior to indoor training, huh, I got beat down pretty good in that hour. Started with a default of 195FTP, after the test I dropped all the way to 136. Ouch. 1 hour on the bike for a 20min FTP Test, off the bike and into a 3.5 mile run at 9:30min/m 9 days to Trick or Tri! www.trickortri.com
