Mount Garmin on TriBike

First thing I did was simply mount it to the tt bar, and angle it inward slightly to not obstruct my arm. Not the most aero.

Later I got an idea from a profile design BTS assembly, and zip toed a small pvc behind where I have my BTA mounted ( I have a zip tied bottle cage ) and it keeps out of the wind, behind the BTA.

Only issue with that is that I like seeing my data close to my hands, and you can either use a little pvc and zip ties to make a mount, or get a "tt bar computer mount" many of those are available then you can stick it anywhere on your tt bar.

The last one I tend to see is just wearing the 910 with the computer on the inside of the wrist, making it easier to see on the bike.

To mount my 1000 someplace that was easy to read, easy to access, but out of the way, I had to put the computer on the mounting bracket, then put the bracket on the stem between the aero bars. There wasn't enough room to do a quarter turn of the computer between the bars. It takes a bit of finagling and swearing to get the rubber bands in place with the computer already mounted, but it can be done.

I've got a Forerunner that I've mounted via a piece of PVC of the right diameter for the watch, but trimmed each end inwards like a U, so that it slipped in between the profile bars. I added a loop of bar tape length-wise to hold everything together and provide a bit of grip to the watch band.

I only had a bit of bar tape left at the time, otherwise I would have done a wrap to that the bars and pipe all matched (rather than having exposed white PVC). It's far enough forward that I can hope on the bike and get into aero position, and then take the watch off and strap it to the bar while riding.

I've been using my 920XT on my wrist, so this hadn't been an issue thus far. But now I want to use my 520, so I tried one of those Zipp mounts. Doesn't work. My aero bars are thicker than the 22mm clamp that most of the mounts on the market have. Went with the Garmin's stem mount, and I'll see how it turns out on tomorrow's ride.
