Subject: Colomingle is Back!
It's been so many years, I don't even know if there's anyone on here that I still know.! BT made me a great triathlete nearly 10 years ago. I went from a mom with a 3 month old baby who had never run or rode, to a woman who did 7 races a year, including one half. I was in the best shape of my life.

Life changes, kids grow, I got divorced and returned to work full time. I always had an excuse to not exercise. Now, I'm back, trying to find myself again, 30 lbs heavier, a decade older, 10x as much stress, but my heart and soul needs this in the worst way.

"Back in the day", I was surrounded by so many amazing people from BT and made many life long friends. I hope to find that community again. Let's build it together!

Melanie

Welcome back!

I'm also trying to stay fit after divorce, and it's a lot harder to get the workouts in, but we'll find a way together!
How old are your kids? I can no longer workout in the a.m. and go straight to work like I used to ... I'm experimenting with going after the school bus picks up the kids, and pushing my start time at the office back a little.

I'm a nurse and just got off night shifts onto mid shifts....11-11. It's making it easier to find time to work out. I just found that working nights and sleeping days AND taking care of the kids in the afternoons left little time for anything else! Plus it's a matter of priorities for me...and I hadn't prioritized exercise.

Thanks for the welcome, btw!

Welcome back !

It is definitely a different crowd now - people either moving on from BT or triathlon in general.

Way to take the plunge to get started again, and prioritize yourself a little bit.

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.
