Subject: Swimming better with rest gaps for laps

So following the good advice here from my last post, I started swimming single lengths (25m) and restin 30sec in betweem.

This is what it looks like:

My plan (and understanding) is that I should basically keep doing this while focusing on technique, and slowly reduce the rest time till I can do it continuously. Would that be a logical plan?

It's time to improve upon your weakness in the water and start swimming faster. Instead of ignoring your swim skills (or lack thereof), it’s time to face them head-on.

Provided one was proficient in setting up the different functions of the Lap Track, I think that a short-course triathlete would benefit most from this, since it only records splits up to 50 laps.

Once you caught your breath, it occurred to you that finishing even a short triathlon might be harder than you thought. After a few "laps" you thought, "I can't believe I'm so out of shape."
