I've lost a lot of fitness in the last year. Effort level was high along the lake. Solid tempo run. Took slow and careful on the hill. I didn't fall which was a huge win for me.

I was able to pass several people along the lake and then only got passed by one going back up the hill at the end. Better than I thought.
What would you do differently?:

Train more. With speed.
