Wetsuit 1st triathlon

Xterra Vector is a great suit. I bought one before my first Olympic, and used the same one for two 70.3s. Make sure to look for discount codes, they can be significant off the listed price (like 30-50%).

As far as buoyancy, it has plenty. You can spend alot more money for a little more buoyancy. I'm guessing you've never worn one in the water? You'll be amazed. You basically have to try to sink in even when not moving.

A bigger decision is sleeves or sleeveless? The cheaper suits have lesser flexibility in the shoulders, so I went sleeveless, and most of my races are in Wisconsin or Minnesota. On colder days, I slip on neoprene arm sleeves..

Finally I bought the xterra vector pro fullsleeve, can't wait to try it. The lake I will swim could be in the low 60s.

Do you think I will have any flexibility problems in the shoulders?
