Subject: 3.30.17 Thursday Workouts!

Maaaaan....I am getting lazy on this spring break!  I slept in until 9:30am!  Not gonna lie, felt great!

On tap today:  2 hours on the trainer followed by strength training.  I was hoping to get out on the mountain bike for two hours instead but the weather has once again turned crappy--high winds, rain...booo.  So indoors it is.  Today will be the perfect day to work in my classroom and take care of everything I have been leaving to do over break.

Steve...the 5 X 1 mile repeats were, ah, 'fun'.  I actually do like them--I choose trails with climbing so my miles involve climbing--St. George's run course is extremely hilly so I get in as much climbing as I can.

Karen...yay for saving the baby bird!

Dennis...what race is on Saturday? Good luck! Oh and congrats on the weight loss!

Going out for a easy 2mile run this morning.

Oceanside 70.3 on Saturday.
This is 2nd year in a row, but not sure if I will keep the trend going next year or move up to the big race next. We will see I suppose...

Was going to take bike ride at lunch but had a rain shower at noon.

68 min zone 2 run. Meant to run for about 55 min but ran a little farther away from the house than I had realized.

Had to keep the pace at 10:27 per mile to stay in zone 2. Was a nice run into the country though!

Well, howdy. I dream of the day I can sleep in at all, let alone until 9:30.

5:40 - track workout, with main set of 4 x 800m, negative splitting by about 15" between each lap. Fun times.

Good Thursday all!

70 minutes on the trainer today followed by a 30 minute off the bike race pace run.
