I checked the website for info. regarding massages at IM FL.  The only information posted was an email address.  I sent an email to that person but haven't heard anything back.

For those of you who've done IM FL before, can you usually get a post race massage?  Do you have to sign up ahead of time?  I am assuming that you have to pay.

Just trying to plan ahead, as I will most likely need a post race massage.

My understanding from others who have done m-dot races is that the massage is complimentary.  It's also that way with races around here.

That would be great if they were complimentary!

I don't know about Florida, but at wisconsin they were free and the only thing you had to do was change clothes.  I didn't have to sign up or anything, I just walked up and within a minute I was being rubbed down.

Here's the response I got- looks like the massages are on!  Yay- because I am really going to need one!

Janelle,

Sorry for the delayed response.

We will have massage services available beginning on Wed 8am thru Sunday 3pm

at the Boardwalk Beach Resort (transition area). Anything before or after

those days/times will have to be done in the hotel room. The cost is $1

p/min and you choose the length of time. You can schedule a specific time if

you choose between the hours of 8am & 8pm or just show up to the massage

area. The choice is yours as we will have plenty of Licensed Therapists

available.

Massage will also be available for free on Saturday after the race.

If you want to schedule a specific day & time for your massage then contact

me at this email address. I will have a Therapists awaiting arrival to the

massage area. Take care, train hard & see you in Nov.
