Pre-race routine:

Got everything packed the night before. Cleaned the machine and pumped up the tires. Went to bed around 10:00. Woke up at 4:45, ate PB&J and showered. Rode to the race (one of the nice things about living about 2 miles from the race). Set up transition and got body marked.
Event warmup:

The ride to the race site and a brief warm up run.
Swim
  • 10m 41s
  • 500 meters
  • 02m 08s / 100 meters
Comments:

My swim is absolutely terrible. I am really going to work hard on that this offseason. If i can better my swim i think i could be more competitive.
What would you do differently?:

Swim better in general
Transition 1
  • 01m 38s
Comments:

My transitions are good. there is always room for improvement but i like where i am at with my transitions
What would you do differently?:

nothing
Bike
  • 36m 9s
  • 12 miles
  • 19.92 mile/hr
Comments:

By far my best bike in a race yet. The aerobars made a lot of difference and i felt really comfortable in them. I have ridden a lot this year and i think it shows in my improved performance. I have gained about 4 mph on average since last year.
What would you do differently?:

nothing
Transition 2
  • 01m 50s
Comments:

I dont know how this was slower than T1 but oh well. I wasnt held up at all. I did forget to put my race number on but i didnt realize it until half way through the run and no one said anything about it.
What would you do differently?:

not forget my race number
Run
  • 24m 39s
  • 3.2 miles
  • 07m 42s  min/mile
Comments:

Good run. Again i always feel like after i could have run harder but i usually bust it during the run.
What would you do differently?:

Run Faster
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around a little and talked to my friends

What limited your ability to perform faster:

SWIM...my swim sucks... i have got to get my swim better
