Ocasio-Cortez claims she can't afford DC apartment.

I'm confused, I thought she was a democrat-socialist but now it sounds like she is a member of "The rent it too dam high!" party.

I saw something over the weekend that suggested she was flirting with a 2020 Presidential run. LOL Talk about success going to your head!

The thing I find most amusing/disturbing is she ran on free health care for all and free college for all (as well as a bunch of other nonsense) and presumably people voted for her because of these things...as if she was going to go to congress and secure veto-proof majorities to push these items through and change America.

LOL.......I hope and pray with all of my soul that she runs for President.  That will truly be the culmination of hilarity in politics.

I like people....always have.....but I wonder about folks when I see them fawning over this gal as a leader of anything more complicate than a soup kitchen.  LMAO

Her salary will be $175,000.

The sad thing is the number of congressmen who enter congress with no real wealth and then after several years are millionaires....despite the piddly salary and high rent. Go figure.

Maybe her commute will be a little longer than she wants. That's what the unwashed masses endure in order to work in cities with high real estate prices. Commute until she's skimmed enough cream to afford better and closer digs.

I'm always interested in a real estate conversation...

A quick search of Zillow shows me that a person can rent a 1-bed apartment near the Capitol (like a couple blocks) for under 2k/month.  For that salary I'd think that should be manageable and more than worth the price to avoid a commute...

If you actually read what she said, the Ocasio-Cortez problem is that she will not be getting paid for 3 months before she officially needs to be in DC.  

She wasn't complaining about the rent alone - she is from NYC area. 

P.S. Any normal person in the NYC area should be part of the RITDH Party.
