![]() | ![]() Hi everyone, I'm looking to plan my off season, and found the no fluff plan on beginner triathlete website. Any opinion about this plan ? Any other advice ? I'll race mainly Olys, standalone run races, 1-2 half and maybe an IM if I'm in good shape and time allows.. I also do XC ski during winter (I plan to do the bike sessions on the skis when winter will be there) My current level is 26min swim in oly, 37min run in a standalone 10k. Thanks a lot Ivan |

Extreme Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I prefer working on a specific weakness or doing a specific block. For example we have masters championship swim races in April. That was a focus a couple of years back and it carried well into the tri season for short course. If I was doing an IM, I would do a very specific bike focus over the winter, do a lot of easy miles on the run to build a good base and swim a little more than average. The mix is definitely different than summer. I also adjust my training depending on where I live. I adjust my bike training to the challenges of winters in Canada. So if a plan had me doing lots of Z2 bike, I wouldn't do it. |
