Subject: Hi there
I am an avid cyclist who hit the wall and decided I was going to do a triathlon. I am starting training this week for a sprint in May. Since running is my weak point, I have incorporated a 0-5k plan for the running.
At 58, most think I am nuts, but here goes. Wish me kuck.

Best of luck. You'll have some time in the bag on most being a cyclist and it's all about the journey!

Age should be no issue. I got in shape at 59 and did my first tri (a sprint) at 60. Have fun!

You'll be fine. I really didn't start triathlon in a big way until I was in my 50's as well. I was totally a runner and had done very little cycling and no swimming. It was a great journey. What I discovered was multi-sport training actually made me a better runner even though I was running less....swapping out some run workouts for cycling or swimming. Maybe you'll find the same thing with running.

Best of luck and enjoy the process!
