Warm down:

Walked around and visited with a few people. Met some KC Multisport folks.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not prepared for open water swim. Wasn't comfortable going all out on bike or run segments.

Event comments:

First triathlon. Just feeling my way. Poor swimming performance notwithstanding, I am very pleased with the outcome. I'll start working on open water swims and push the cycling endurance to improve for the next race which will be Shawnee Mission. Age group results:

Thanks for the encouragement I am hooked now. Doing my third race and first long course sprint (1000/15/5) this Sunday. A park nearby opens the lake for open-water training. Swam 1200 meters tonight in 25:40 (good for me). Its amazing how much difference 6 weeks can make!
