04.27.2020 - Time Trial Monday

I did my second Rouvy Time Trial This morning.  Last time I did 20K this time I did 40K.  The app glitched again.  At the start of the on-line race there were a half dozen on-line races that jumped out the shute with me but after a minute or so they all appeared to drop out.  So I road solo and tried to stick with the race plan.  It was very different from the on-line race that actually had racers.  Instead of pacing off of other riders, I was trying to push as many watts as I could.  I struggled to stick with the race plan in the last half of the race and in some places dropped 30-40 watts under the planned effort. I finished with about 10-15 watt lower average than what I had planned.  After the ride synced I went to the results to see if I was 1st place out of one rider.  Instead, I found 25 riders and my rider showed to still be at the starting line.  The winner of the race was more than a minute slower than my time.  If we had paced off each other and worked together I wonder how times for the two of us would be different.  So three Rovey Rides and three glitches.  I am having fun though.
