Pre-race routine:

Got up at 5:45, got dressed, ate a banana and then I was on the road.

Event warmup:

Nothing really, should have warmed up though.

Comments:

I did ok, not really in the best race shape. Took 2 weeks off after my last triathlon and just last week started running again. So, had I been getting in more miles I'm sure I would have done better. Not warming up hurt me too because I knew I couldn't go all out right away, the first mile I was pretty much getting warmed up. Considering I'm not in the best shape I think I did good. Oh, and I was 3rd in my age group and I'm really pissed at myself for not staying for awards!I never thought I would do that well in my age group!

What would you do differently?:

Warm up and get in more miles before race.

Stood around, drank some water and gatorade, and ate some stuff.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not in the best shape

Event comments:

I never did this race before, and I'm very impressed. It was very well organized.
