Bike
Comments: I had to ride my old road bike. The new tri bike's chain is rubbing on the derailleur. Since it was hilly and lots of shifting, opted not to. So... Random Thoughts: This is my first "ride". cool. wow, the tshirts are a pretty color. Oh my...yikes! nobody's on the right! Everyone's all over the place! So is this what happens on a club type ride? I shouldn't have started in the back. This is nuts (while weaving in and out of folks). wow, it's really HIGH up here. I think I can see Tom (as we rode by the shipyard). wow, these guys smell good!!! - while riding behind two guys who later dropped me on a hill. ewww- butt crack guy. Old lady in a lime green leotard with black cycle type shorts underneath and white Keds. No kiddin'. So THAT is what a fast moving peloton looks like (as they whizzed by me the other way). Drafting rocks. I suck on hills. I was with this group with butt crack guy and they dropped me on an incline. oh my god... Hi John! Butt crack guy is someone I know. I want some food. oh, Seafood paella. yummy! Hey, they put squid in it. yuk. Hey, Renee and Janice, I wanna go again. I'm going back for the 10miler. BYE!! Caught up with butt crack guy-oh, John again. We rode with a group who had guys 5 abreast and they promptly dropped me at the last incline. I should do more weights if I want to get strong on hills. My shoulder hurts. I don't like this bike anymore. oh, crap, I forgot my celebrex again. (I took it later) wheeeeee!!!!! Hi, thanks for coming out. What's wrong with this computer? I went the 30 miles and it says I only did 25. More paella. Guy with IM Canada jersey. Nice legs. Small crowd and lots of paella. More for us :) It's sooo good. dang, they're out of diet coke. Time to go home. Bye, see ya again soon, drive safe!! What would you do differently?: get stronger on hills. Learn to ride in a pack. This was a new experience for me. Post race
Warm down: eat more paella. What limited your ability to perform faster: lack of incline training. Event comments: yet another great event put on by Mr. Richard Gonzmart. He puts on several events throughout the year and donates all the money to a Pediatric Cancer Foundation/Moffitt Cancer Center. He is one of the owners of the Columbia Restaurant, a famous Spanish place here. The chef was out making the food in this big paella pan... it was sooo good. He's an athlete himself, having done several tris that I know of and some marathons. Last updated: 2006-08-31 12:00 AM

Went to Renee's for dinner with Sue and Janice. I had an allergic reaction to her cats shortly after I walked in the door. Took a Benadryl and had one beer and was looopy. No more beer. Yummy pizza and salad with the best dressing! I need to look for that issue.... Anyway woke up in the am and my eye was still slightly swollen. I made the mistake of not discarding my contact lens so it sorta flared up again. Just barely affected my vision but not much.
pretended to stretch.
