Make it an even dozen participants in week one of the Crummy Winter Weather Challenge!!  Aktri has a commanding lead with the benefit of some crisp, sub 15 temps while the midwest is staring at a 'heat' wave for week two.  Funny how nice weather makes me less willing to work out outside, saving the outdoors stuff for some suckage.  Anywho, attached is the spreadsheet for week one.  Some housekeeping notes:

 1.  Reporting is Sunday to Saturday of each week, not Monday to Sunday as my example stated.  I picked up Rooneye and Autumn's workouts from week one thread.

2.  I have no issue with posting other non-tri workouts out there for folks who have asked but does anyone have thoughts on this or opposition?

Any other questions or comments, shoot away!!  Once again results:

Week one is a clean sweep for Aktri with suckiest week, workout and overall lead for the week.  Congrats to all and keep suckin it up!!

PS  If you are not in and want to join in, simply start posting on the live weeks thread with your workouts based on the Suck formula.  The more the merrier!!

They are talking 50's here a lot of this week.  This sucks, and not in the way it is supposed to!

Hopefully it will stay below 35 - and windy - before 4am!  I'm hoping for long miles running this weekend.

I am reuploading this as the previous one had been saved with the week two data I had in and on that tab.  Not a big deal, but opens up to week two instead of week one.  Sorry about that folks!

This is one of the first BT challenges that I think Alaska has had the advantage! I almost feel bad that your weather doesnt suck as much! And I thought it was going to get warmer but it didnt. We ran in -2 this morning, at least the wind was 5 from the east and not another north wind. Hope you all enjoy some crummy weather! And you are welcome to send some warmer weather this way!

Here is this week so far.

AKtri - amazing!  I hope you are going to start getting some pics of yourselves all frosted over and steaming in the cold for us to see.  I haven't had  a morning worthy of a pic yet but I intend to get a 'snow beard' pic at some point this winter.

You're putting up some great numbers so far.  Keep it up!

Much colder than this and I start wimping out. The group I run with on Saturdays meets at the indoor arena if time and temp half hour before the run is less than 0 (windchill doesnt count on time&temp). So if some warmer weather doesnt head our way, it will be indoors.  Again send warm weather this way!

I am greatful to this challenge as I was having a hard time getting myself out there, now I look forward to it knowing I am racking up points!

And I will try to get pics this weekend. Today would have been good as my eyelashes were frosting over!

Much colder than that and you could earn points walking from your car to the indoor arena.
