Subject: Garmin 205 & Small Arms

I'm thinking of buying the Garmin 205 for my wife for Christmas.  She's petite and has thin arms/wrists.

Anyone out there know if the wristband on the Garmin 205/305 will fit someone with small wrists?

I have very small wrists (I could probably get into my wife's watch - if I wanted to - which I don't) and I was surprised to see that my Garmin fits fine. I wouldn't worry about it too much unless she is really really tiny.

I don't believe the watch band is a problem, but I've heard of several smaller women who have found the chest strap to not adjust small enough and had to cut and sew the strap to make it fit.

Dang.  I thought the "small arms" meant this thread was going to be about mounting a Garmin on an AR-15.

I had a 201 and have really tiny wrists. Child sized, you might say. Nothing ever fits. I wore it on my upper forearm, no problem, no worries. I've since gotten a 305 (for other reasons), and it has a great wristband that fits even my puny wrists.

I have the 301 and very small wrists also. I use a sweat band on my arm and put the Garmin over it, to prevent chafing on longer runs. It's very comfortable that way and works fine.

I am very small, and have no trouble with the wrist band. The issue I do have with my 305 is that the chest strap is too large... although I have heard of people cutting it and sewing it back together, I can get by with just making sure it's secure under a sportsbra strap.
