Please help me get a saddle that is soft.  My new bike is great, but it has a rock hard seat.  I need something not to expensive, and very comfortable.  Preferably light weight and sleek.

It’s a tri-bike, so I’ll be spending a lot of time in the aero position.  If you have a comfortable saddle, let me know about it.  I’m Desperate.

Thank you,

Sore @$$

I know 3 people with this saddle and they all love it.  They rave about the comfort, which is the reason I am getting it for my bike when its finished.

I'm a super huge fan of Koobi sadddles.  They have a split rail that lets your 'butt' be relieved of pressure.  They have a Tri saddle that is just awesome.

I got mine off of E-bay for cheap.

I wish there was a try before you bye deal.  The lbs tried to sell me one, but I want to now it's comfortable, not just take thier word for it.  Besides, they deal mostly with road bikes, not tri bikes.

Still looking for more suggestion from those who have a good saddle and ride tri.

Welcome to my world.  I have a shelf full of saddles.  It is such a personal thing that there really is no way to know other than trial and error.  I tried many poopular saddles and put several hundred miles on each before I moved on to the next.  FYI- softer is not necessarily better.  Usually the pain diminishes as your butt gets used to the saddle/position.  It's the numbness issue that you have to watch out for.  FWIW, after A LOT of trial and error, I finally hit the jackpot with the Adamo Racing Saddle.  It hurt like hell for the first 4 or 5 rides, but now it's perfectly comfortable.

antother to think about as well is proper fit (forgot to mention it before).  if your seat is too high, far back etc., it could be putting pressure on spots it shouldn't be in a bad way.

and for me, cycling shorts are less comfortable than tri shorts as the extra padding seems to bunch up in the aero position.  but ymmv.

Valdora Tri-Gel saddle

http://www.valdoracycles.com/Valdora_Tri_Gel_Saddle.html

After my first 50+ mile ride I ran right over to the Tri shop and bought the Valdora seat. 5 or 6 guys I train with have converted to them too.

With my discount it was only $60. Online I have seen it for around $75

(side note... it weighs 220 grams so it shaved 75 grams off my bike weight - previous saddles was 295 grams)
