Subject: RE: Kentucky girlSounds like you are very busy! Unless you are doing a Tri this fall you can probably just focus on building your base in cycling and swimming through the fall and winter while continuing your running program (Say 2 workouts per/week for the bike and swim ). Your program starting in about Feb/Mar will change depending on the distance races you select and what your goals are. Sprint, Olympic, 1/2 Iron Man? Competitive or just for fun? It also depends on your experience levels in the bike and swim.
When I started, I focused on my swim because I had never swum competitively or for exercise, so I did 4 swim workouts a week with 3 runs and 3 bikes. Now I do 3 of each plus some strength training 3 days a week. Variation and intensity is the key.
Where do you raft at? I'm a white water guide/white water rescue dude. Mostly in California, Colorado, Oregon, and New York. That is still my first love. Tri's are a close second when it comes to being outdoors.
