Subject: Numbness on Bike
Gents - I know this thread has been around. It must have. But I can't find it.

Here's the problem, I ride my bike for 30 minutes or so and I'm feeling OK. I dismount the bike and I'm numb in my perinneal area. I can transition, run, etc. But the area is numb.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Steve

Hey Kentucky,

This is a really sensitive subject. I had this problem for a while on my long rides. It's all about body position and seat angle. You may want to play around a bit with the angle of your seat first to see if this helps. I find that when I stay in the same position for a long time I start to get numb and it really sneaks up on you. Kind of scary actually. I try to change my position slightly now and again and this helps.

Good luck.

I adjusted the tilt on my bike seat. I did raise my seat height a little. Since then I've felt numbness. I may have gotten my answer. I'll give it a try.

Thanks.

Sneaking up on seat angle and height will help you get into a better position. But changing position when riding long, every so often, has helped with numbess in wrists, hand and the nether regions.

Good luck and may your day be full of joy.
