Swim
Comments: -Had about a 3 minute lead going to the bike, had a very slow transition What would you do differently?: -Garner a more efficient transition plan Transition 1
Comments: -Couldnt get biking shirt on, it was sticking to me What would you do differently?: -Have a more precise plan of what I needed to do and how Bike
Comments: -Need to find a biking plan, as I lost almost all my swimming lead due to the bike What would you do differently?: -Train far more for the bike as well as make sure bike is sound and safe before use Transition 2
Comments: -Much faster transtition -Girlfriend had power drink ready for the transition What would you do differently?: -Wear clip ins on the bike and change into running shoes at the transition Run
Comments: -Legs felt like lead off the start and the first 3km was brutal -Power drink definitely helped at about the 5km mark where I picked up my pace What would you do differently?: -Train harder for the run Post race
Warm down: -Nadda, could barely move, I guess I walked it off for about 15 minutes, which was good What limited your ability to perform faster: -Not enough training in Bike/Run Event comments: -this was my first Triathlon and I didnt know exactly what to expect. -It was very difficult but I enjoyed it very much -Need a training plan that will emphasize the bike/run portions since I have been competitively swimming with a year of varsity experience for a very long time, and had acheived national standards in the 1500m freestyle Last updated: 2007-03-13 12:00 AM

-Ate a wrap, containing black forest ham/havarti cheese/lettuce/tomatoes/green peppers as well as a 500ml container of chocolate milk
-Stretched before the swim, especially my calves and hamstrings
-Nothing on the day, pool was not open for warm up
