How about that headwind on the bike??? OMG.... I was pedaling my A$$ off and going 14 MPH. Conversely, however, I was going 24 MPH in the other direction with the tailwind!!! I guess it evens itself out. I was in wave 26, so I had 2 solid hours of waiting around in the dark/cold before jumping into Lake Michigan... which wave were you in??? You did very well!!! Nice job! That was the last thing I needed. Talk about humbling on the first lap! I was ready to tear outta the transition and then as you cross the river... BAMM, nice to meet you headwind. I never realized LSD actually had so many 'hills'! Wave 26? I feel for you, I was lucky to be in 20.

Thanks and congrats to you too! I had a great time and can't wait for my next race!

Congratulations on a great race. Looks like you did quite well. I was in wave 41 (yea, 41!) a full three hours after the start. As I was walking down to the race, I saw people with their finisher medals.

Great times on your race!  Other than the nasty headwinds, it sounds like a great race.
