Arnold Air Squadron
54F / 12C
Overcast
Total Time = 26m 57s
Overall Rank = 44/104
Age Group = 25-29
Age Group Rank = 4/6
Pre-race routine:

I have been running 3-5 miles on a treadmill at work. I've only run outside once this year.
Event warmup:

Short walk to race start.
Run
  • 26m 57s
  • 3.17 miles
  • 08m 30s  min/mile
Comments:

Felt Great!
What would you do differently?:

I would have attempted to run a little harder/faster. Now that I know how I feel after the 3 miles and how I felt at race end, I know I can push more during the race. I could have also pushed out my last half mile faster.
Post race
Warm down:

Nothing much. Ate half banana and a whole wheat bagel and a water.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My own inexperience in running.

Event comments:

My first 5k... my first race ever.

Congrats on your first race!  It's always an experience.  You did great!  And, now you know about the runner's dilemma - which is that AFTER the race is over, you are always saying to yourself that you coulda pushed harder there - or run a little faster or something.  We all do it.
