Here's a question for all you triathlete's and athletes out there. I have a pair of favorite olive drag (Marine Corps) running shorts that I wear EVERYTIME I go running. Over the years they have become my 'signature' piece of gear. I have about 3 pairs of them and I never seem to noticed that they are WAY out of style of you're not in the military but, hey, whatever, I like them.

So here's the question to you guys: Do you have a 'signature' piece of gear that you can't train/race without? Just curious.

No, but this is my first season tri-ing, before I only ran races.  Give me time I bet I'll come up with something. (I do have a favorite pair of lucky running socks if that counts...)

Well, I've done all my races this year in the same tri-suit...only because I have only one, and not some other hidden reason!  Other than that, I never race or train without my yellow LIVESTRONG bracelet.

The 'biker' stickers on my bicycle helmet. "My inner child is a mean little ^#@&er." is one of my favorites, followed by "Do I look like a people person?" The people that know me (that know I'm a big teddy bear) get a good laugh out of them.

Last year when I took my daughter to Disneyland I bought my hubby a Mickey Surfing baseball cap as a souvenir. Well, he never wore it and since my head is soooo big, and I have never been able to find a cap to fit me, and I needed a ball cap to wear for my first 10K run this last spring, I thought, hey, I'll try on ol' Mickey Mouse. It fit, and has been with me ever since.....all my training runs (even on the tready) and rides (under my helmet to help keep rain out of my glasses), 2 sprint tris, with one more to go.
Rock on Mickey Mouse!!!
I can't wait to get a couple more when I'm down in CA in October.
