Pre-race routine:

Ate a couple cheese sticks and a fig newton bard and had a Orange Cream Sobe on my way to the race (5 am). Got to the race site

Event warmup:

Walked around a bit with light stretching. It was warm enough and this race was long enough I didn't feel the need to do too much warm-up (given my projected pace).

What would you do differently?:

maybe bring my own water/gatorade.
push a little harder on the hills.
