I have been drafted into helping set this run up if you have ever set up a race I can use your help.  All advice is helpful but one big need I have is for a running spreadsheet to separate runners by age group and then set them up in order of finish.  I have Microsoft Excel so if anyone has a excel spreadsheet that would be great.

Not a spreadsheet, but instructions for setting one up.

Not sure what you're asking, once you set up a spreadsheet and input the data it's easy to sort by variables such as age and finish time.

Shouldn't take two minutes to set up a spreadsheet (be glad to do it if you want), a little more time to enter the data

I agree with Bear -

With Excel, you should be able to input names in column A, times in column B (make a different sheet for each age group, or have a third column with age groups) and then use the sort function to sort by Age group and then time.
