Comments:

Ran this pretty good. Was shooting for a sub 20 min run, but it was not to be. The week prior was a heavy week of workouts, including intervals 2 days before the race. Also, St. Anthony's was the weekend prior.. not an excuse as much as it is a reason.. aka excuse. :) Anyway. Ran hard, enough so that I'm pretty sure I cut off all blood circluation from my arms. They hurt like mad out there and felt like lead weights.. interesting effect.

On a good note, I beat everyone that I wanted to beat... so that is good. :)
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. 5k's for me are just benchmarks of current fitness. They also act as a great 3 mile long interval.
Post race
Warm down:

Watched some friends come in, chatted for a bit, watched awards, and just enjoyed the morning.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Maybe intervals 2 days before.. I was not at peak performance.

Event comments:

Great little local 5k. This team really knows how to put on races. I have a gripe with all local races and their timing methods. Nobody in Atlanta uses timing devices, chips etc.. do you need one in a 5k? no, but why not? I'd rather skip the shirt, and pay for an accurately timed race. Also, The race was on Saturday, and the results were just now put up. (Tuesday) That's unacceptable when Triathlons with multiple events have same day postings. Oh well.. just minor gripes.

Man - excuses and complaints.  Is that all you're full of?

Great race anyway.
