Resident Matriarch  N 43° 32.927 W 071° 24.431 |  Subject: CalenderI just added my Oly event to the calender. It being held on August 29th. While it's not exactly the same as sending in the application, I think I will do that some time next month. I have to make sure that this is not some sort of crazy moon-phase cycle or something I'm going thru and that I really want to do it. So if in a month or two I am still thinking it's a go, then I'll send in the app. I think I'd like to do something in NJ so I can incorporate it into a family visit with my brother and his family. They are near McGuire AFB so if anyone knows of anything in that area I'd like to hear from you. TIA! |

I'm a relative newbie in the sport, and sometimes it's hard to find your 'motivation'--paid fees can be a good motivator sometimes! Also a training group. When I did the IM a few years ago, the race was in October and I finally talked my husband into letting me do it the previous May, when I started training. I didn't actually turn in the app until August! If your head says you're going to do the Oly, then you're going to do it. You might as well sign on the dotted line! Sharon |

Unemployed college student and all that LOL I do have some funds coming next month and I'll have my races all picked out by then. I need to renew my USAT membership as well, that expires next month and I don't know my #. I threw the card away when I was having my fire sale. |

| , Alabama | Subject: RE: Calender I guess lack of funds would make signing up a bit difficult. You can go to www.usatriathlon.org and look up your number on their site and even renew via internet. I believe they may automatically match your previous number to your name when you renew anyway (not positive, though). Sharon |

If I do then there is a discount on the USAT membership but it has to be mailed in. I liked the team but it is too far for me to do any training with anyone. But there is some stuff I'll travel for once in a while. Plenty of time to worry about it, right? |
