Subject: Hi -- I'm new :-) Hi All --
I have the triathlon bug, it seems. I love to exercise outside. This is definitely the sport for me. I'm a baby at this. I've never done anything like this, which is exaclty the reason I'm doing it now. As I turn 30, I WILL be a triathlete, dammit!
I am starting from square one here. I'm a terrible swimmer, I love to run (although I'm not good at it ), and the last time I was on a bike it was my Scwhinn when I was a kid!
I studied dance in college (it was my minor ), and after getting really out of shape over the last little while and finally getting the weight off -- by running, hiking, doing the Santa Monica Stairs, whatever, now I want to take it to another level, a level that none of my colleagues and friends believe I can acheive.
I want to do this for my own personal benefit, but it will feel great to prove everyone wrong.
I have a bum ankle (bad ligaments that I'm rehabbing now ), and bad knees (meniscal tears in both that are too small to fix ). Who wants to train with me?????
