Tried to have more place to swim (problems with slower swimmers in front), had a steadier breathing, increase the pace

Comments:

The course was not an asphalt one, thus the low speed. Each lap had a minimum of 1km gravel and ground which was fun but not good for speed, especially up-hill

Build-up more pace, increase my average speed.

The same problem with gravel as while bicycling, quite hard down-hilling on gravel!

Train much more, my pace was quite bad

VIrtually no training, no proper biking shoes, bad swimming start

Event comments:

Since this was my first race, and the first for the organizers as well, my evaluating capabilities are quite reduced. There were organizational flaws especially with time-recording, bike-management etc. I'hope next year will be better, I plan to do it again.

Thanks guys, I just read your posts. I know my pace was rather bad, but thanks for trying to cheer me up
I'm training for the next Klagenfurt Triathlon on June 5th 2005, hope to bring you another race report...
