Pre-race routine:

Ate grits, banana, bagel and gel at 5 am. Left at 6am to go to race site. Arrive at 7 am. Forgot race belt and timing chip strap. Used non adjustable strap and bought a new race belt.
Event warmup:

Short bike warm up to test the mount and gearing. Run about 1 mile. Short swim with a couple of pickups. Test the shorty wetsuit.

Did not realize that I was so close to the finish but when I saw the chute, I had a good kick to the finish. I may could have gone about 20 - 30 seconds faster if I had known where I was on the course

Now I know where the course is.
