Comments: First 3 km were really quick. I was actually holding a sub-6min/km pace and was really happy. The hills on the way back averaged that out in a hurry though! What would you do differently?: not stride so long on the downhills. The pain in my feet was not worth the added 2 seconds I might got. Post race
Warm down: Hung out and drank a Five Alive. What limited your ability to perform faster: I could feel my heart rate climbing when I increased the pace. General fitness needed :D Event comments: Probably only needed one drink station, but they had two, so you actually passed it 4 times which is more than enough. Hills were rough as always, but I am just a baby. Also had a trampoline show demonstrating some diving class you can take. Kind of cool. Look forward to beating my time next year. Work up around 7:45 as I thought the race start was actually 9:10. Turns out the 3k run was at 9:10, and the 8k was at 8:30. Opps. Luckily I only live a couple blocks from race start :D
walked around and jogged a bit. Tried to loosen up but was hard as I had just got up.
