*sigh*

Running that fast, does he need one?  I mean, that's better than 15 mph.

He ran a sub-4 in high school. My only question is this: Why isn't he faster now?

He's much faster now than he was in HS. He went 3:55 then, and his PB now is 3:48. The meet record he broke at Nationals was Steve Scott's (one of the best milers ever) and was 25 years old.

Speaking of speeds, Tyson Gay (who won the 100 and 200) has a top end speed at the end of the 100 of 28mph! How many of you can freaking ride your bike that fast on flat ground? Now imagine *running* that fast...

Ah, the advantage of having "more information".

I stand corrected. I had heard a few things over the last couple years that was indicating that he'd kind of "peaked" back in HS, and hadn't had much if any improvement since. I was thinking that he should fire his college coach and re-hire his HS coach...

That kick he had at the end of the race was just sick. He just threw it into another gear for the last 50 meters or so. Crazy.

I might be able to hold it for 100 meters or so.....

That is pretty freaking fast on foot!
