Pre-race routine:

Had a bagel and OJ at about 6:00am.

Met up with friends, was there really early so got parking right near where Mum and Dad were going to sit.

Event warmup:

Ran around the parking lot to loosen up.

Felt surprisingly good for the first 6k. No ill effects from the Tri yesterday and had a good rythm going. The slight incline was a bit of a challenge.

Felt strong at the end (Gatorade kicked in in the last 1k)
What would you do differently?:

Slow it down in the first half and pick it up on the second.

Warm down:

Walk around and some light stretching.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Race the day before took more out of me than I expected.

Event comments:

Good race and lots of support.

Medal is the best I have so far.
