Pre-race routine:

I got up around 4 AM, had coffee and oatmeal. Waited for time to leave.
Event warmup:

My pre-race routine involved waiting for a shuttle bus for like 30 minutes. Riding the bus to the drop off point, jogging toward the race start only to find they started it without all people being there.

Comments:

The race started before all participants got there. The course is great but I was mad.
What would you do differently?:

Camp in a field next to the starting line so I didn't have to wait for a stupid bus.
Post race
Warm down:

walked around looking for family, eat and drank recovery area merch.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I had to pee while riding on the bus. My plan was to go before the start but since I missed the start I had to run with a full bladder. Maybe that helped me keep going cause I really had to go.

Event comments:

It really is a great race. More buses would have gotten all participants there for the start.

Nice race...even if it was with a full bladder!

Strange how they started the race w/o all the folks being there considering they arranged the buses. 

You are already back to racing...cool!

I would complain to the RD about the start. That gets ME hot under the collar! Nice job though...anger AND a full bladder seem to be excellent motivators for a speedy finish!
