Comments: Tough -- very crowded and I found myself powering through the slow moving crowd -- got kicked a lot but managed to stay on pace -- didn't get into planned rhythm of 3 stroke alternate side breathing, but did hit a rhythm of standard 2 stroke single side breathing at faster stroke pace than I had planned What would you do differently?: Start at front of wave! Transition 1
Comments: Deliberately went slow to make sure I didn't miss anything or get hurt running in bike shoes What would you do differently?: Move faster; put shoes on pedals and run out in sox, hop in bike and slip into shoes on bike Bike

Comments: didn't do any of the above What would you do differently?: would try taking feet out of shoes, jumping off, and running into transition area in sox Run
Comments: 1st 1/2 mile tough going but settled into rhythm at about 1 mile -- dragged along to 2 1/2 and openned up for final 1/2 What would you do differently?: increase pace from 1 - 2 1/2 miles Post race
Warm down: stretching, lots of water and shade What limited your ability to perform faster: inexperience with transition, weakness on the run Event comments: Although I have no other races for comparison, to me, this was a very professionally organized race event -- everthing was on time, lots of volunteers, easy to get myself organized and where I needed to be, course was very well marked with policy to secure the bike course on public roads, no problems with timing, and very festive atmosphere.
