Comments: First open water swim. Hard to judge speed & distance. Was too conservative during the first half of the swim, but was worried about going anaerobic. Felt good coming out of the water. What would you do differently?: Pace myself better during the first half of the race. I had prepared well, but was too conservative. Transition 1
Comments: Forgot my race belt & number - fortunately nobody noticed and I put it on during T2. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Bike
Comments: My old Schwinn ten-speed is too heavy and not up to the task What would you do differently?: Get a new bike (Cervelo or Trek) Transition 2
Comments: Had rouble finding open spot to rack my bike (someone had taken my assigned spot) - lost a lot of time. What would you do differently?: Look for the first open spot to rack my bike Run
Comments: Legs felt awful - had to walk too much What would you do differently?: Work on bricks and practice running more on beach. Post race
Warm down: Walked around What limited your ability to perform faster: 1. My old bike. 2. Lack of conditioning for the run. Event comments: A great event. Looking forward to next year! Last updated: 2004-10-04 12:00 AM
