Hey Marcy is there still room at dinner? I'm in San Antonio for the month but purposedly scheduled Step 2 for Austin so I would have an excuse to be up there this weekend. I plan on volunteering/jockstrapping Sunday but that may depend on how obnoxious the drive is back and forth between the two cities.

Wow, I just placed the orders for Saturday!  There will be lots of food.  I combined orders where possible (4 people ordered smalls of the same thing so I ordered a large).  Total price is $550 which seems really good for 40 people.  Including tip, it works out to $14pp.  I would think the easiest thing to do is to split it evenly since most of the entrees are around that price anyway.  Any objections?  If not, we could figure it out by what was ordered.  Let me know what you think.

wow thanks again for organizing this.. I'll give you a 20 since sometimes with large groups you suddenly end up short  and I won't expect change back, if you get enough extra take it for yourself for doing all of this.

I just got notice that my parents are taking the kids for the weekend and my wife and I are on our own.  If possible, we can join you.  If we can't get in on the food order, we can eat before and then just hang out.

Hey Mike,  We would love to have you.  Honestly, we have more food than we will be able to eat so as long as you like pasta of some sort, just chip in.  Buca is a family style restaurant.  They just bring out big dishes that are shared.  This way, the cost pp goes down!

Reservations are at 6pm!  Looking forward to seeing you!!

Marcie - you are unfreakinbelievable!

Are we on our own for beverages or are gallons of iced tea included?  I'll take responsibility for my own beer.

That's just food!  I figure with most of us racing Sunday, water would be the drink of choice.  It's not going to add that much to the bill though...unless you order lots of those chic designer beers!!

Does the $14/person include the kids or were you only counting the adults?

I was doing a total headcount but since we have added a few people, the cost is actually going to go down.  I'll refigure it out with the kids.  You will probably just pay a little less. since their meals are about $5 each.

I think that Marcy & Steve should not be included in the headcount and we all pitch in for their dinner. It's the least we could do for them setting this up.

Great idea, Chris.  How much extra should we each pay to cover their meals?  $2-3/person?? Is that about right?

Well, if it's $15 a head... and there are two of them.. that would be $30.

If there are 40 adults, each of us could pitch in $1 and more than cover their meal.
