Comments: For the first lap, I rode support for my daughter. We pre-rode the course the day before and she cut 11 minutes from her time. I am one proud mama. The course is sort of a lollipop shape. You go 1.1 miles on a gravel road until you enter the 5-ish mile woods loop. I stayed with her until she turned to go back the 1.1 mile road to finish. She was the one and only junior girl competing. So she won! I had a goal to do my second lap in half the time. I made it! And I beat my 1-lap time from last year. 'Tho last year, the race was in the pouring rain. Also, my post race analysis shows my 1 fast lap time was better than the other 2 womens 1-lap times. But who knows, if I was nipping at their heels, maybe they would have gone faster too. What would you do differently?: Nothing! Post race
Warm down: chat, chat, chat. What limited your ability to perform faster: nothing Event comments: A fun fun race. These trails are beautiful. Try them in winter on XC skis! 16 racers total in novice division, (3 women, 1 junior female, 3 junior men, 9 men) Plus 4 DNF's but they could have been any class. Last updated: 2007-09-02 12:00 AM
