Run
Comments: It's definitley a hillier course than I usually run, and I was feeling the results of yesterday's workout by mile 2. Was doing pretty well until mile 5, where twice I had to walk a little bit. Managed to pass one person between miles 1 & 2, then got passed in mile 4 by a fast female. Also pased by one person each time I walked. Almost caught the last one again at the finish, though. What would you do differently?: Reminded me that I need to work on hills more before Longhorn Tri in Austin. (Of course, not running 2 hours the day before might have helped, too.) Post race
Event comments: Only found out about the event the night before, but it was a fun, local charity fundraiser for the Leukemia Society. Sorta what you'd expect for a decent smaller event. Did have some food beforehand and afterwards: bagels, Powerade, SoyJoy, Fuze. Not chip timed, but they did a good job. Medals 3 deep, plus raffles for RoadIDs. Pretty well organized; a fun way to spend the holiday morning. Last updated: 2007-09-03 12:00 AM
