Subject: Any new IM sites planned for the near future?
I was just wondering if anyone knows of any new IM locations planned for the upcoming years? It probably takes a few years to get one set-up, so they should be in the planning stage. Unless they try to keep them secret for some reason.

Allright, I'll officially stoke the rumor mill. Virginia has 3 large cities, including the capitol, that are being connected by a very wide bike path, which is under construction, slated for completion in 2008.

The distance between all three cities is, coincidentally, 112 miles, on the path.  The possibilities.

And I'm gonna give China a rip in 2009.

this is a good topic but you have to remember they all lead to kona so more races less chances at other races.

As long as the path is wide enough and easy enough to cross roads and people are cool not to use it during the IM it would be cool I think.

I will have to see how my first IM goes before I am willing to commit to another.

Some local organizers are planning a 140.6 in CO in 2009 (probably not IM branded)
