What would you do differently?:

Train more mentally. I was ready physically but my mental game was weak in mile 15-18.

Strengthen my hip flexors. I forgot that during my last marathon they were my achilles heel! Never again....

Straight to the massage tent!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My mental game was off and my damn hip flexors became incredibly fatigued and tight by mile 13.

Fantastic race! I can barely run that pace for 5 miles, and that's with my hip flexors feel FANTASTIC!
Good job, and congratulations.

Thx Shrike. It was a good race even though I was in the depths of depression when my splits went from 7:30min/mile for the first 8 miles then spiraled down to 9:30min/mile by mile 18...

I should really look on the bright side though since I beat my PR by over 40 minutes. I think all races we second guess ourselves and our training...I think it's just human I guess
