What would you do differently?: train in lake, start slower to find pace Transition 1
Comments: wet suit stuck on arms What would you do differently?: take one arm off at a time, have flasks on bike, move quicker Bike
Comments: riding trek hybrid, stopped because I thought I went the wrong way and 2 bicyclists passed me, transition times counted in bike time What would you do differently?: have hydration on bike, street or race bike, maybe bike shoes Transition 2
Comments: wore same shoes bike and run What would you do differently?: make sure I know direction out of transition area to run Run
Comments: dehydrated from not drinking on bike ride, walked jogged alternately, blisters on heels What would you do differently?: jog entire way, keep jogging through watering stations Post race
Warm down: walked a little, drank lots of water What limited your ability to perform faster: dehydration, unfamiliarity with lake swimming and swimming in wet suit, slacked on training and nutrition in the month prior to race, hybrid bike, need to lose another 12lbs and get body fat percentage down, currently 34% body fat. Event comments: This was my first triathlon, learned a lot can't wait for the next one! Overall heart rate average 164 max 181 calories 1060 weight 130 Last updated: 2007-08-19 12:00 AM
