Run
Comments: Despite the massive crowd, the race thinned out fairly quickly and there was room to run. I went out a little too fast, and I walked the 2 water stations. I had targeted 35 minutes, so I was a little too fast, and will probably feel it later. What would you do differently?: Train! Post race
Warm down: I finished not to far behind my friend, Lindor, which means that I went out way too fast. I drank some water. I will probably suffer later, this is what I get for not running for the last 2 weeks! What limited your ability to perform faster: My people were not born in Kenya. Event comments: There were so many goodies, it was so inspirational to see so many survivors either running or walking. I would definitely do this race again. Last updated: 2005-01-11 12:00 AM

Picked up my friend, Lindor, who was doing the race for the 12th time. We got down to Wesley Bolin and I went to the Survivors area looking for my friend Tonsa, who just finished up her chemo treatments. She is a marathoner, has qualified for Boston and is getting ready for the Nike Half, her first big run event since she was diagnosed. It was so crowded and I really hate crowds, but then I became thankful that I had my health and strength and the ability to run.
Not much warm up, just a little stretching
